STEM Data Viz

I work with maths departments in schools and colleges to facilitate a deeper understanding of data sets. A-level Maths students are expected to demonstrate understanding of large data sets.
I believe that this needs to go beyond just using the Excel spreadsheets provided by the exam boards.
I design workshops for maths departments based on exploring computer programming tools which can be used for data analysis and data visualisation. My workshops are tailored around the large data sets provided by Edexcel, AQA, OCR and MEI.

Data Visualisation. We provide an introduction to the use of computer programming to make sense of complex data. We specialise in providing activities which bring to life the stories held in the Large Data Sets, based around: - Weather (Edexcel Large Data Set) - Vehicles (AQA LDS) - Demographics (OCR LDS) - (MEI Large Data Set) Our training sessions assume no prior knowledge of coding, but they do assume a reasonable familiarity with the relevant Large Data Set. No special equipment or software is required.

Do you want to provide your students with a more in-depth understanding of the Large Data Set?
